Episode 128: Dear Doctor

BEFORE THE PRIME DIRECTIVE

This week, we examine an episode that foreshadows Starfleet’s Prime Directive!

“Dear Doctor” was the thirteenth episode of Enterprise (later to be renamed Star Trek: Enterprise) and it presented an interesting dilemma for the Chief Medical Officer and Captain of the NX-01.

It’s an episode that presents our characters with changing the evolution of an entire race and the potential ramifications.  This is a fantastic episode of Enterprise and we’ll tell you why we love it–and why it took us almost 17 years to rewatch it.

Plus, news about a brand new Star Trek game, STLV guest updates, and rumors on when Star Trek: Discovery might go before the cameras to start shooting their second season on Your Independent Star Trek Podcast!

Episode 123: All Good Things…

TNG’s SERIES FINALE

This week, we wrap up our year-long retrospective of Star Trek: The Next Generation with a look at the series finale, “All Good Things…”

Airing in 1994, it was the first true finale for a Star Trek series getting a chance to do something that TOS never did. Some have called it the best finale of all the Treks, and others the best finale of all time!

Bill and Dan will look at the episode and what makes it so great and see if it still holds up when compared to the other series finales.
