Ashley posits that this episode was written specifically as the "back door pilot" to that series, and Mike wonders aloud if anyone really WANTED that series to begin with, considering TOS did all of this first. TOMORROW'S ENTERPRISE is a big episode that carries big ramifications for not only our characters, but for the series and franchise as a whole.
How is canon forever changed? Will Captain Pike still end up with Vina on Talos IV, or will that be changed in favor of Marie Batel and the daughter they (never?) had?
