Fran and Tamia are taking the word back. Before it was weaponized, "woke" had roots — Black American roots. In this episode the Sistas trace the word's origins, its appropriation, and then prove what Trek fans already know — Star Trek has been unapologetically woke since 1966. From the classic episodes you already know to the unsung gems you may have missed.
