[00:00:00] Hey everybody, welcome to the SyFy Sistas Podcast where we give you our point of view. I'm Tamiya Harper and I'm joined today by my sisters Sabrina Wood, Yvette Blackman Tom, and Franti. What's happening? What's happening Fran is that we have a really cool show coming up for you.
[00:00:56] Netflix was kind enough to offer us interviews with the Hageman Brothers again. Our lovely friends, executive producers and writers of Star Trek Prodigy. It is really cool to get to talk to them again. And yeah, we were all really excited.
[00:01:21] Sister Yvette was not able to make it to with us on that one. Nope, not that one. We shouted you out. Oh, did you? Wonderful. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. You know I love that show. And I love them. I had so many questions.
[00:01:36] I was like, oh well, not this time, but guess what? Your questions made it in because. Oh, yeah. Yeah, we wouldn't leave you hanging like that. I love them. They were they were awesome, right Fran? There were there were there just a fun and joy to interact with.
[00:01:57] You know, they just there's a joy. You know, so down the earth and you know, just the guys. Exactly. The brothers, guys, the brothers and the sisters once again. Yeah, that's what I was thinking around when we were done.
[00:02:12] I was like, here we go again, the brothers and the sisters. So anyway, we hope you guys enjoy the interview and we will catch you on the flip side. Enjoy. I'd like to know how you guys watch the screeners. On the left.
[00:02:28] We did not watch them all together in a room like on the couch. Did any of you get through them all yet? I have not. I have gotten to, I think, episode 13 or 14. OK, I don't want to get through them all yet. Yeah, I don't favoring stuff.
[00:02:47] I don't want to spoil anything in this conversation. Oh no, you can spoil everything, but it's OK. It's OK. Yeah, spoiler. Because we have, we already have spoiler questions and the sisters and I, we've talked about it.
[00:02:59] So like we all know like spoilers are bound and we're still, it doesn't mean we're not going to love it as much. I mean, I only have a couple of spoiler questions. So you know, I mean, but yeah, it's really, I really wanted to savor it.
[00:03:12] Why don't want to play the ending then? No, don't tell us the ending. Yeah, do that at least for me. It's going to be hard work for you guys. We're sorry, you know. I tried. I was telling you. So we're so excited.
[00:03:27] I know we don't have you guys for a long time, but really, really excited to see you again. And Yvette sends her regards. She's really bummed. She's really upset. She could not get out of work today to come see you guys. You think I'm in a board meeting?
[00:03:50] Awesome. OK, so we'll see her either at Star Trek Las Vegas or are you guys going there? Yes, yes. All of us. I don't know if you girls are doing Comic Con. No, we're not going to New York or San Diego? San Diego.
[00:04:07] No, no, I think Yvette might be in New York. OK. Mm hmm. But so we'll definitely make sure we can see you in Vegas. Yes. Vegas baby. OK, before before they start like telling us like hurry it up and we haven't asked a single question.
[00:04:24] I'm going to get started. So I have a question from Yvette or you guys and I think it's the perfect place to start. And she says when we last spoke, you mentioned that there were bigger characters that are coming to the show that are not on Voyager.
[00:04:44] And she says, although her timeline knowledge help her uncover some surprises, she would never have guessed that the traveler would show up, nor would I have guessed that. And she's wanted to know why it was important to you guys to tell Wesley's story.
[00:05:02] So I'll take this one, Kevin. So when we originally thought of what we were going to do in season two, we didn't think about Wesley and it wasn't until our writer's room, Jen Murrow, who when she was a teenager,
[00:05:16] she had a poster of Wesley Crusher in her bedroom. And now friends with them, so it's not as creepy. But but it just started connecting all the dots when it was a time travel season. He's the traveler. He's the original kid on a ship. He's the original prodigy.
[00:05:33] And there's so much. There's so many questions surrounding what happened to him. And TNG just walked off the episode and you're like, what? What happened to him? Yeah. So it was a lot of fun to play in that sandbox and what happened? Yeah. Crusher.
[00:05:49] Yeah. And but, you know, I think a lot of other shows were scared to to touch that character because he was so powerful, right? And so that's why we were like, well, let's make him a little scanner
[00:06:02] brained and he's got a little or there's a really wonderful Doctor Who. Yeah, right. There was I was thinking Doctor Who when I was watching him. I was like, oh, this would fit so perfectly in that universe, too.
[00:06:14] Yeah, we just thought it was so much fun writing that character. And then Will was just such an amazing actor and he loved what we were doing with him. And he was just just to have a job on.
[00:06:28] That's awesome. He's one he's one Star Trek alum that we have great, great respect for and oh my God, Will Wheaton, if you're listening. And we know you are. The sci-fi sisters want you on the show, Betty. Or they say in part of the you.
[00:06:49] So I had a follow up question for that then, too, because I just finished reading Moments of Sunder by Dayton Ward and, you know, Wesley's character is is is integral to that whole series,
[00:07:04] that whole plot to that book and then the other books that come in the series where you guys collaborating with the I hope we didn't. I hope we didn't bust up his narrative. Yeah, I don't know. You don't even we haven't we weren't we weren't familiar with it.
[00:07:18] We were my word. Yeah, no. Yeah, no, we were we created it all within our room. And as we were writing season two, Akiva and Terry from Picard called us up like we were hoping to do something,
[00:07:35] you know, with with Wesley, but we heard you guys are doing a lot. And and so we we were talking and we helped them a little bit with their sort of scene that they included with him. And then we were learning about Jack, this character of Jack,
[00:07:48] and he's going to have a brother. So how can we kind of give a nice nod to the card and them? So it worked out nicely. Wow. OK, you guys have to if you haven't read that book yet, please read it. It's like my question.
[00:08:03] The rest of my question was I love how this episode these episodes with Wesley dovetails so perfectly with the books, including the creatures and the lines probably reading the scripts. So I think yeah, maybe maybe Dayton Dayton had to have been reading them too.
[00:08:21] When did the book come out? It's newish. Oh, well, maybe. I don't know. And then I was going to see like who came first, the chicken or the egg? Like which one of you guys came up with this concept first?
[00:08:33] And that you got you guys got to read it. Yeah, it's it's I mean, it's perfect. So yeah, that and it makes sense now that Dayton is the connection. I forgot that Dayton is an adviser for you guys on the show, right? Yeah.
[00:08:48] Like, like, yeah, a tangential like like tangential. Yeah, like one of the script read like he'd like he does like I think he does some of the other stuff that everyone has. But everyone has like access to the scripts and things like that if they're in there.
[00:09:05] OK, well it was spot on. Let me tell you and it was beautiful to see continuity from the page to the screen like that. And you guys really knocked it out of the park. It's gorgeous. Yeah, thanks. Fine. He deserves his own show.
[00:09:19] I mean, I would love to see a doctor who like, you know, like, he's following. He really does. Wittle would be a traveler. Yeah, I call it sweaters. Sweater. I love how he told them that, you know, he was like, I've got a ton of sweaters.
[00:09:36] Like a sweater collection. Yeah. And one thing that never made it that I wanted to. I wanted Rock Talk to get one of his sweaters and so well. Oh my gosh. I know. Wesley Sweater. That would be awesome.
[00:09:54] I love I'm waiting for Sabrina to get up to that episode because what she's going to freak out over and Fran is that office that Wesley took them to. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. That office I was like, oh, my God. TOS fans everywhere. Like, yeah.
[00:10:12] Yeah, I love that stuff. Yeah. There's so much stuff in this. A lot of Easter eggs. Yeah. Lots of Easter eggs. Go ahead, Fran. I know you got a question. Yeah. Oh, OK. And it's OK. Totally different note. What is the deal with Janeway and Chakote?
[00:10:32] Aren't they that's a question from a follower? Well. It's a tight wire act. It's like if you if you answer it one way or the other, you kind of got to keep it a little open, but at the same time show that reunion.
[00:10:49] And I think, you know, when we were exploring what we were going to do with that, the first thing we did was we talked to Kate. We talked to Robert. We talked to massive Voyager fans and we kind of got all sides of it.
[00:11:01] And I think the most the biggest advice I thought, you know, it was talking to Kate and she was like the love between Janeway and Chakote is bigger than a relationship love. It's a romance, a romance, a bigger than a romance that is,
[00:11:19] you know, is that bond through they've been through hell and back. You know, they're right. The captain and a first officer, you know, there's something there that's even more powerful. So it's like if you just have them, you know, doting off into the sunset,
[00:11:34] holding hands, it's it's it's going to feel like we did Admiral Janeway to service. But can I say, I don't know if any of you ladies have watched the cracked mirror episode that's like one 14 Dan, maybe. Episode 14. You said you're at 13. Have you watched a cut episode?
[00:11:55] I have. I watched which one? I'm sorry. That's 14. They find each other. No, no, I haven't seen. No. OK. There is an episode that I think that was 14. Yes. To everything my brother is saying. But it's my favorite episode. He stopped at my favorite episode.
[00:12:12] We have an episode that delivers a lot of really good stuff. Oh, baby. I cannot. You may have to watch that together. Oh, we're clever. Oh, we were clever. You should watch it together. I cannot wait for you guys to watch it
[00:12:27] because Sabrina, you got a lot of catching up to do you and Fran. So I know I plan on continuing on. Like, I mean, here's the thing. I really wanted to save her this season. I love having episodes released weekly.
[00:12:42] And to give you a chance to really sit in it and talk about it with everybody and enjoy it. But so we got a dump, right? OK, that's OK. We got a whole season dump. I only binged a whole bunch of it
[00:12:55] so that I could talk to you guys today. Like the rest of it, I'm pulling back on. And I'm trying to. What are two episodes a week waiting a week for 22 minutes? It doesn't feel like enough. It feels. You got to do it. It was super.
[00:13:08] It used to be two episodes. It used to be like a one hour episode. It used to be very closed ended. You know, you got the whole thing and then the next episode, it felt like you're back at zero again with the characters, right?
[00:13:22] And ours is so serialized and it's only 22 minutes. It's really hard to wait. I agree. I understand the appreciation. But I think there will be a lot of people who will just you'll have even a deeper experience because you can just get on this ride.
[00:13:37] You know, that's what I'm. Yeah, go ahead, Sabrina. Yeah, I think that's true. I think it was true for me with watching Voyager itself. I think I got a deeper experience in watching it as a binge show than I did when I watched it as episodic.
[00:13:49] But you got to remember, you got two boomers here and we are used to waiting for a week for a half hour show that was going to be, you know, a story. And, you know, we had a whole summer we had to go through.
[00:14:02] So for me and Fran, this is just candy. But we had an episode that was secretly titled Boomers. I think it's that it's the boomers episode. You guys have it in the back 10. Yeah. OK, wow. I think it's called Touch of Gray. Isn't it called Touch of Gray?
[00:14:22] Touch of Gray. There's an episode called Touch of Gray where you would always refer to it as like it's the boomers episode. It's like it's like the kid characters get in trouble and then it's like the adults have to settle. Wesley and Dr. and Jacote having to like
[00:14:41] get high up a mountain. Oh, wow. I love that. But I think that one of the things that I know with it is that I'm loving it so much like I want to make it. I want to drag it out for a little while.
[00:14:57] But I don't think I'm going to be able to because like like you said, you get on the ride and you just want to keep going. Like it was so easy. I was up to like three o'clock in the morning last night, like watching
[00:15:08] Prada G and like I was like, oh, my God, I'm so tired, but I have to see the next one. I think what's good is that these characters are so infectious that like you want to be with them.
[00:15:19] So even rewatches are like my wife rewatches Troll Hunters all the time. She's like, I just love these characters. So if you love the characters, it's like you just rewatch it and you just get the warm and warm fuzzy feelings of, you know, camaraderie.
[00:15:33] All I have one last question for that. I love what we're doing this season with Gwen, Gwen Della. And so first season she was like the runaway, you know, she's like the bad girl. She's the runaway. And this season she seems to be this trope that I love.
[00:15:49] The young girl who has the weight of a world on her shoulder. She's like a Joan of Arc. She's like she's like a Princess Leia. She's like, but I wanted to know the episode with the Dauphin where Wesley again falls in love
[00:16:03] with the young lady that comes on the ship. She's a princess and she's got this bodyguard with her. We don't know that the bodyguard is like a monster, but. And he falls for this young woman. Did that any inspiration?
[00:16:14] Did you guys think about that episode when you wrote this season for Gwen? No, we just do. She literally had the weight of the world on her shoulders with Solomon being in flux in the sense of knowing that your home
[00:16:26] world, which you've never been to is about to have a civil war that you need to go back to the Dauphin. And it's up to you to make sure that civil war doesn't happen. And then I don't know if you've seen the first couple episodes,
[00:16:38] but I have long very quickly because of Ascencia. Let me tell you, I want to just bow down right now because you guys know you're the reason why I like animation now. You know, I had a problem. I know they love this.
[00:16:55] I'm telling you, I had to stop the tape when we went into the elders in the room where the two elders were there. And I just had a look at that whole thing. I'm sitting there going, who are these people that is drawing this? This is so beautiful.
[00:17:11] It's gorgeous. This show remains just Betty Bond. Betty Bond, there's a very talented or supervisor, director, he was he just has an eye for this stuff. Oh my God. It's everything. The faces, the designs, even the heirloom was just like when she showed it
[00:17:29] to her father, I was like, boom. I got this dad. I was like, whoa. Love this so much. I just wanted to thank you guys. It was just, you know, I love your exuberance. So thank you so much.
[00:17:43] I mean, talking about, yeah, we're talking about a show that appears to be a kid's show, but it's it's so much more. You know, these two days have been, you know, hearing for the first time, people who've actually watched it. You guys are the first. Oh, absolutely.
[00:17:59] Watched it like to the detail, like run it back. See it again. Wait a minute. That's what I'm looking forward to. I'm looking forward to my second watches, you know, because the first watch is like I'm just gobbling it all up. Like what's the story?
[00:18:10] Who's going where that the rest of the action like, what are my themes? And then my second watch through are the ones where it's like, look at that detail. Look at this. Now Sabrina, like she's a cinematic watcher period. That's her thing. I am too. I am too.
[00:18:27] I love I love watching movies and old Sabrina now on the same page with that. Yeah, this is a gorgeous, gorgeous watch. Thank you. Oh, fine. When you get to the end of season two, everything comes full circle back to season one, episode one.
[00:18:43] You're going to see a beautiful kind of circle. And it'll I think even that will make you want to watch again, because it all it's all tied together. Yeah. Tricky's watching episodes over and over again. Say it ain't so. I don't. I mean, that's like our lives.
[00:19:09] I'm so happy now that I have to watch episodes over and over again. So I don't have to explain myself to people in my life, like why I'm doing this. Oh, it makes it. I have a reason now. It makes us so happy.
[00:19:18] That was one of the first things we talked about where like Trekkies are completionists, you know, so even if the people who are resistant to watching this show, they're going to watch the show at some point.
[00:19:28] Yeah, like 10 now there's going to be Trekkies will be like, well, I guess I'll watch Prodigy and then they're going to watch it and they're going to have the same experience and be like why was my onto this train at the very beginning? I never understand.
[00:19:40] All the time online. Yeah, I never understand the people who are so resistant to new Trek shows. I'm like, it's Trekkie. It's new. I mean, like I have my once. Yeah, like I have never once in my life said that, you know, I have never
[00:19:56] once in my life not been excited for a new Trek show. Not once. I do not understand these people. I'm like, you might not like it as much as the other ones, but that doesn't mean I'm not excited for it.
[00:20:06] You know, but I mean, I think that I mean, Prodigy is. We said it before. We've said it to you guys a million times. It still remains. We'll listen to it a million more times. One more favorite series because this is the perfect introduction
[00:20:24] to Star Trek for people who don't know animation for right and animation for those folks, you know, but also, you know, it's a beautiful love letter to Star Trek as well. You know, I mean, the storytelling is just so good.
[00:20:39] You guys again, like you're tackling and what I love about it, we were talking about it in one of our shows before about things that books or media that are the stories that are supposed to be for kids
[00:20:52] that do not talk down to kids like like Madeleine Lingle and other things that like, you know, you're going, you're talking about serious issues. You know, there's loss and and, you know, all these things that you're dealing with that are hard topics to discuss.
[00:21:08] And I think that that is so perfectly in keeping with the Trek tradition, but also the Trek animated tradition because that animated that original animated show was not really for kids. They were talking about some amazingly complex issues.
[00:21:21] You know, and I feel like you guys are doing the same thing. I love the original in the seventies. I watched it. It was the animated the original. Yeah, yeah, animation. I love glitter. We just add glitter. Same concepts. More glitter.
[00:21:41] And you guys have some of the best Easter eggs, so I'm still laughing every time they say the Temple Mechanics 101 had to be my favorite. My favorite repeat line. You haven't read Temple Mechanics 101. Well, then we get to know it.
[00:21:56] We kept getting the note of like, how is a six year old going to understand this? We're like, don't worry about it. Then we get the beautiful, the beautiful, the lovely surprise of seeing our friend, Dr. Aaron McDonald. And then that was so cool.
[00:22:11] I would want to learn Temple Mechanics from Dr. McDonald. We do all the time. We get we get we get the cow. We get the milk from the cow. We're like, I don't understand this and she will tell us.
[00:22:24] I think one of the night when we first originally laid out what the time travel map looked like, we were so nervous that she was just going to blow it up with like one word. It's just like this works. We're like, oh my gosh. Yeah.
[00:22:39] The science is real. Science is real. I know that and I know that, Fran, you had another question, but I really quickly. I just want to say like there's a ship that I can't wait for Sabrina to like you guys give us a new ship this season.
[00:22:55] Oh, yeah, I know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Infinity. Yeah, I love it. Who's I saw? Let me tell you. Let me tell you. Yeah, that is like it was a classic Star Trek. Since you don't see here we go to the shipyard.
[00:23:09] We're going to see the ship in the thing, whatever. And I'm like, I was like, it's Voyager. You know, then it was Infinity. I know for another one, there's a ship. That was Infinity. I'm like, ship is in the ship. What are you doing to me?
[00:23:24] It was just as good as the Proto Star. So was this was a new ship like always in the works for the season or did it just, I mean, well, yes, but we knew that. We always wanted to get back to the Proto Star again.
[00:23:36] Yeah, it was going to take some time. We didn't want to just have episode one season two. Hey, here's another Proto Star. Like that new ship could be sexier than Proto Star. So I had a. Yeah.
[00:23:47] And so when we did the Infinity, it was sort of like we wanted to make it cool and different, but also we wanted it to be small and cramped. And we wanted the characters to be like, oh, this isn't the Proto Star like you like.
[00:24:01] It was like the defiant was. And also it needs to go through a wormhole, so to speak. You know, like, yeah, it was I love the strap in scene. I like how rugged that ship looks. I mean, it's just it's like a Jeep. It's like the Jeep.
[00:24:17] I mean, it looked like a Rubicon all of a sudden. It looks like alien really got more like, yeah. I loved all of it, man. I'm telling you that was just so cool. And I was just OK.
[00:24:29] I ended on to admit it, but I'm sitting there like this going. I got a go. I couldn't see the next one. I had to get to work and I was just dying. I'm like, I'm going to start at episode two.
[00:24:43] Oh, you can't have one more things going on and they got to go. That's for you. You've got 18 more episodes to go. So yeah, yeah, I'm like a little kid. So we got the last question because I know they're going to start booting this off. Give me more.
[00:25:03] Here's my money. We'll get there. OK, this is like. We love the overarching thing of being stronger together. Can you talk about why this is an important thematic element for this season? Being stronger together for this season specifically or the entire show? Either one.
[00:25:27] But I mean, it's I mean, it fits for the entire show. But I really see it. I feel like strong for this season. I felt like from the very get go of the whole show, that communication was so key
[00:25:39] because in our time in our country that there's so many people not talking to each other and they've created these battle lines in which they just see the other side as the enemy. You know, and again, it goes back to Gene Roddenberry.
[00:25:54] Like we are our better angels are out there. We will get past these things. And I think that was what we wanted for like we need to we need to come together. As much as we hate each other, we need to come together.
[00:26:05] We put it onto a small ship and be told we're going to die without without each other's help, and that's the way it's going to happen. And that's what Star Trek is. They just don't tend to explore characters learning that and getting to that point.
[00:26:20] Most of our shows, they understand that they're working together. The best of the best. Right. But our kids get to learn that. And so really what we're doing is exactly what you see in all the Star Trek shows.
[00:26:32] Yeah, I think it's I wish sometimes that we would have aliens just laying like the Balkans did. You know, and then we as a globe as a world would have to come together because we realize we're not the only people. I mean, only beings out there.
[00:26:56] So we have to have to be global, you know, because in most of the sci-fi movies that you see the old ones and new ones, the world comes to earth comes together. Yeah. They mentioned all these countries and, you know, and everything. But that's my wish.
[00:27:12] I know it's not going to happen in my lifetime. But I just you know, universal translator for politics. Right. You know, we do. We do. So I just I wish, like you say, with such a divided in America and all over the world, we so
[00:27:32] about it and that we all stronger together. You come together and you can do more. There is strength in numbers. Right. Mm hmm. So thank you for that too. I love how you guys show that tell that story, though, this season, especially like we've got a new Vulcan.
[00:27:50] What's her name? Oh, come on. Yeah. Rachel. Rachel. Yeah, which I think is a beautiful nod. You guys said there's so many, so many beautiful nods this season to this. And there are some other characters that I've just I decided I wouldn't ask about
[00:28:08] not spoiled for my other sisters because the bird man. Oh, I love him. Love him. He's so cool. And I love how Jankham just can't stop himself from. Very good. It's so good with the bird puns, you know? But yeah.
[00:28:29] But I mean, it's like through these stories, you got this Vulcan who's like with the cool kids, you know, and then suddenly thrust with the with the nerdy outcast kids never squadron. Never squadron. Never squadron. Do we call them? Never squadron. I like that. Would have been great.
[00:28:47] What is going on? I don't have any plan. I was like, if I heard that, we would have used that Sabrina. Nova squadron versus the never squadron. Oh, my God. And you know, I feel about Vulcan. So I was like, oh no, here we go.
[00:29:06] But as soon as I heard her name, I said, oh, she's got to change because she's got that name. You know, and she's a vehicle for looking at this coming together. And then how through Gwen's story, you know, there's that whole repeated like,
[00:29:22] you got to get together, you got to be together. You know, like they're literally they're literally physically separated when we start this season, you know? And it feels and I can say like it just felt wrong. You're yearning for her to get back with the gang. Yeah, absolutely.
[00:29:39] I think there's a time when we're writing it and we're like, Michelle feels a lot like Gwen in the group of the talls, you know, badass, not up and against, which that was kind of that was an unexpected thing.
[00:29:54] I don't think we planned on that, but we couldn't really change it because she was Vulcan, we wanted a Vulcan. We wanted to introduce a Vulcan character because for someone who's new to track, who is there? They're guiding light of Vulcanism. Right. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:30:08] But someone never seen Spock though. Like is a new viewer like us. And they wait. This is a little tidbit though. You'll notice Michelle's hair has the white streak in it. Yes, we never really say she's a descendant of T-Pole from the original series. Oh, her name T-Pole.
[00:30:33] Is it or the top? Oh, the marriage. Wait, at the white inner hair. Spock at the battle. Mm hmm. I think yeah, get married and anyway. She's a little bit of a royal. You didn't have a gray streak in her head. Yes, she did.
[00:30:54] She had a big white. I forgot about that. That's a cool little lie. That's just the things that you will not catch on one view. We didn't have time to talk about it. That's why we have to go back again. You've got to go back. And again.
[00:31:09] It's red. Right. I'm getting that. I'm getting that we need to wrap. No, got it. Yeah. You know, that always sucks. They try to wrap us each time. But you know, just ignore it. Why you gotta come back to the show this way?
[00:31:26] You gotta come back to the show and just run your mouths. Yeah, but I mean, you know how much we love you guys and we're so proud. We can't wait for everybody to see this season and enjoy it as much as we have.
[00:31:39] And we'll continue to do that. The work is phenomenal. I hope you guys are very proud because we are and this is our jam. And we're so glad. And also, you know, congratulations on being saved.
[00:31:52] You know, the show deserved to be saved, deserve to have a new home. And we deserved as viewers to continue seeing these stories. Well, thank you. Because of voices like you going out there and spreading the gospel of Star Trek Predigee. So thank you guys so much.
[00:32:06] Imagine if this was just sitting under a rock and no one could see it. I see, I cannot. I cannot. That's what my nightmare like so now that was all of our nightmare for a little bit.
[00:32:21] We can't wait to see you guys in Vegas and have fun with the rest of the day. And thank you so much for your time as always. Wonderful to see you ladies again. Great to see you too. Thank you. Bye. Bye, guys.
[00:32:35] All right. What did you guys think? That was awesome, wasn't it? It's always great to talk to the brothers. They are so funny. So they know so much. They are so interesting. I just love it. I love it. You know, that is just my favorite little show.
[00:32:52] No, and I can't wait. I'm still like my favorite little show. I love it. I love it. I don't care what you say. I just love that the fact that you love that show now because I mean, I remember when you were animation version, you know, really.
[00:33:15] You know, it's going to be a day when you like thunderbirds are go. I'll remind you. No, ma'am. No, ma'am. Puppets, puppets, puppets. No, no puppets. The hairs on America. Oh, my God. I'm not thunderbirds. I think they are Pluto too or something.
[00:33:44] I think I ran across them by mistake. I'm like, oh, China. Stop. Still go back to the brothers. Let's please. OK, anyway, anyway, like so you all please watch Star Trek Prodigy on its new
[00:33:59] home on Netflix and support it so we can if we support it, then we get another season. Yeah, you know, and this show is amazing. This season two is I mean, and there's just so many great surprises coming up in this season that the everything makes sense.
[00:34:19] Like the story works together really well. It also works really well with one of the Dayton Ward's latest book with moments of thunder. Wow. I mean, like I'm just telling you there is just you guys are going to love it.
[00:34:32] Yeah. And I honestly suggest that you binge that whole season because first of all, if you don't bitch it on Monday, you're going to get spoiled. So right. I mean, you could be straight up spoiled because first of all, we're coming with
[00:34:50] the live show. I mean, like you listen to this interview, you already know. You're spoiled already. Like we told you, but I forgot to say, I should have said at the top that there were spoilers. I think I might have to rerecord that.
[00:35:05] Yeah. No, we said it in the interview. I said it in the interview. That's right. See, I took care of it and I forgot. Ah, yeah, you can't. You're good. You're good. Don't worry, we will have spoilers on the on the podcast before when you see
[00:35:18] it. So yeah. But definitely it's it's it's it's it's not a kid show. I don't know. It's it is Star Trek. You know, it is so Star Trek. And I mean, I think it's better than a lot of Star Trek we've seen in a long time. Just saying.
[00:35:38] We're just saying my favorite writing has been coming from the animated series. Man, tell me about it to heavy, heavy minutes. Wow. I mean, the writing and I love the fact that Star Trek fans are writing Star Trek,
[00:35:55] you know, because there's no way after this season these people, you can't you can't say that nobody on this writing staff is not a Star Trek fan. Who? You know, with some deep cut knowledge. Oh, my God, the deep cuts. Deep.
[00:36:10] Oh, God, I was I was thrilled by because I think I was the first one to watch the whole series. Yeah. You know, I was just thrilled because everything I said is about it and was right. I knew it. My timelines. I knew it. Go again. All right.
