Dan Davidson

Co-Founder, Host

Dan co-founded Trek Geeks along with Bill Smith after initially responding "No - what's a podcast?" when Bill approached him about the idea in 2015. What started as a single podcast would eventually evolve into an entire network of Star Trek podcasts, all produced by passionate fans who want to celebrate the vision of Gene Roddenberry.

Dan worked with Bill and Enterprise star John Billingsley (Dr. Phlox) to create and produce the very first Trek Talks telethon which benefits the Hollywood Food Coalition. What was first setup to be a day of fun with a few Enterprise costars turned into a massive 60+ Star Trek-guest-filled-all-day-telethon (whew!).  The success of the first Trek Talks event has allowed us to have annual events which, over the course of three years has raised close to $350,000 to help the food insecure population of the Greater Los Angeles Area.

Dan is a 30+ year technical support engineer currently working 100% remotely (which he loves) for a worldwide time management software company.  He lives in New Hampshire with his wife of over 20 years, Susan and their adorable dog Mylie.  In addition to Star Trek, Dan is a passionate fan of the TV show Lost, is obsessed with Thanos from the Marvel Universe and travels to Disney World at least twice a year.  In his spare time, he enjoys cross stitching as his favorite way to relax and building Lego sets.
